Spring offers fleeting impressions of our Tidal Basin cherry trees. Winter tree buds yield to the warmer weather. My pastel painting captures the “Ephemeral“ nature in this beloved flowering cherry tree.

Sugarloaf Mountain walks inspires me throughout the seasons. Light plays on the fields and mountain throughout the seasons.

This pastel painting is inspired by the color and movement in the sky and woodland forest transition from winter to spring. “Seasonal skies over woodland forests” 22” wide x 15” high.

Every June I turn a corner on Barnesville Road and see golden wheat fields on the Dickerson horizon. Evidence of the farm tractor and beautiful skies are reflected in this pastel painting.
